Uniques must be traded for Revs
Uniques occupy a special place within the Revel economy. Within a given pack, they typically represent the creator’s best work and may be the centerpiece of a pack’s theme. Many creators demand (and command) higher prices for their Uniques.
Some creators have experimented with Uniques as a mechanism to provide benefits outside the Revel app, such as access to a whitelist for an NFT collection or access to a piece of physical art.
In recognition of Unique cards’ special value, moving forward, Uniques can only be traded for Revs. We’re making this change for several reasons:
- To ensure more accurate estimated values for Unique cards.
- To increase creator revenues and reflect organic user behaviors and preferences.
- To respect the scarcity of Uniques within the economy.
- To reduce exploitation of barter trades of inflated Commons/Rares for Uniques.
